"THE TIME KEEPER" BY MITCH ALBOM

If you haven't read "The Time Keeper" by Mitch Albom yet, i must say you have to, now. As for me, i just finished reading it, and it's really a good one. The book would struck you on how well did you use your time here on earth, it would taught you the essence of time and it would leave you to ponder on what are you going to do with the borrowed time you have to find the true meaning of your existence.

Here are some of the lines and quotes in the book which i have highlighted:

~ "Learn what you do not know," understand the consequences of counting the moments."

~ "Holding on to things "will only break your heart."

~ "the sorrow of lost time became a permanent hole in the human heart."

~ "Don't get too attached to anything, including accepted knowledge."

~ "Mankind is connected in ways it does not understand --even in dreams."

~ "It is never too late or too soon. It is when it is supposed to be."

~ "You marked the minutes," "But did you use them wisely? To be still? To cherish? To be grateful? To lift and be lifted?"

~  "There is a reason God limits mans days."

~ "but a desperate heart will seduce the mind."

~ "The hands of a clock will find their way home."

~ "that tomorrow would contain a moment like today, and the next day a moment like tomorrow."

~ "Sometimes, when you are not getting the love you want, giving makes you think you will."

~ "But a man who can take anything will find most things unsatisfying. And a man without memories is just a shell."

~ "Time flies with you."

~ "We all yearn for what we have lost. But sometimes, we forget what we have."

~ :"The end is coming. What will you do with the time you have left?"

~ "letting go was natural, embracing God's will."

~ "Grab a moment or let it pas."

~ "knowing something and understanding it were not the same thing."

~ "When we are most alone is when we embrace another loneliness."

~ "Ends are for yesterdays, not tomorrows."

~ "With no loss or sacrifice, we can't appreciate what we have."

~ "There is a reason God limits our days." "To make each one precious."

I for one is guilty of counting each moment never realizing if i have spent it wisely? Yes, i viewed life as short and seize every moment of it, treat everyday as if you're last. But there was a time that i have asked
for another lifetime to make amend with the regrets of having somethings left undone in the past, my asking of what ifs and if only i could turn back time.
I would always complain about too many things to do with too less a time or i have no time for such and there's a time to beat. I would advise others to manage your time well and be flexible with the changes it entails. Yet, i haven't really checked mine.

This book "The Time Keeper" taught me a lesson or two. That, there is no time, you have this time, here, now, today! Let this pass and there's no way you can have it back. No second time!
It's worth the read!
