THE MOON IS STARING DOWN ON ME

Half of the world is sleeping and half is awake including me and jc. It's already midnight and I was gladly reading my books and notes when I saw this light beaming in my window, then I looked up and saw the moon staring down on me. Then i stared a little longer, the moon is so inviting, it drawn me to become nostalgic.

Then i looked down on my PC monitor, typed a message to the one but never been, to my surprised he replied, and then....

Back to the moon, It's miles miles away but i can feel happiness by the mere sight of it. It depicts hope and bliss. Someday, I'll travel to the moon and will find love and happiness. No matter how long. It'll surely come and get me. -lovejc

28/60 THINGS TO DO THIS SUMMER: LAWN TENNIS LESSON

As i have posted earlier in this blog, we made an inquiry and scheduled our first lawn tennis clinic. But it turned out that my colleague has unexpected errands on that day so they we're not able to come.  Nevertheless, I went  on alone.

I was so excited to learn and play lawn tennis again. Our session lasted for an hour and I was taught with the basic stance, support and proper gripping the racket.

The trainer encouragement is great. He said I am a fast learner and I can be an expert within a month or two continuous and daily practice. Oh really? I just laughed at him.  I don't know if he is just joking or not. Ha! Ha!

I said this is such an expensive hobby, if we will do it twice a day in a month or two. But the skill you will learn later is worth it.

I'll be posting more on this sports so stay still. Likewise, I'll make a separate post on this at Destiny's blog with topics, being a Mom you need to stay fit, healthy and sporty and feel good all the time.

24/60 THINGS TO DO THIS SUMMER: TRIP TO SANCTUARY, STA. VICTORIA, ILAGA CITY

This post is originally posted in Destiny's blog so i just reposted it here.

Sanctuary, Sta. Victoria, Ilagan City, is known as a tourist spot in the province of Isabela. The first time I've learned about this is when I've watched it in a local TV news where it was featured. The sanctuary has many different attractions, like zip line, cable cars, canopy, caving, boating, swimming pools, water falls, etc. and the mini zoo. I got interested with the mini zoo and thereon, I made a promised to myself that one day on this summer I'm gonna bring Destine there, so he could see some rare animals in person.
With my earnest desire to make a trip to Sanctuary, me and Chelle my colleague made plans of going there. Thus, last May 16 we call it a family day for us and head on.
It was my first trip to Isabela with Destine. I knew it would be toxic to travel with a toddler without someone to assist me with Destine and our belongings. But i took the courage to go, knowing that I still have company and it would be a fun trip for Destine.
We took an ordinary van in going to Sta. Victoria where we will meet Chelle's kids and hubs. Chelle's family took charge for this trip. Hence, I am so thankful for them in making this fun trip realized. We made this trip just for Destine, everything else is secondary.
We were supposed to go to Batanes, but seems it wasn't the proper time for Destine so we call it off and stay.
On the other hand, Destine was so delighted with the sights and all the things he saw which is new to him.
We showed him different animals.

He's excited and aware that this is not his usual routine, and since I cannot trust his walks and turns here, I just carried him all the time.

We walked from area to area and my young man is quite heavy. I could feel the 37 degrees temperature, so it's a little bit uncomfortable to make a luxurious tour. Why, it was a time of middle of the day. But everything can be endured for the sake of fun. Ha! ha! ha!
We rented our own hut inside where we lunched and cool down. Other kids did boating while we just stayed. Destine hasn't slept until three o'clock in the afternoon as he became weary due to very warm temperature.

I regretted to haven't captured the nice sight because I cannot let go of Destine, but maybe in our next trip when Destine can do it on his own, I can make a good photograph of the nices view.
We went back to Tuguegarao at almost 5pm that same day and Destine was still on his excited mood despite being tired, he watched rice fields and cows on the way.
While my Destine had a nice day on this trip, I cannot complain of body ache and dehydration because of carrying him all the time. It's my role to carry him and i had a vow to bring him and we'll see the world together.

From hereon and onwards!

Happy Journey!!!

18/60 THINGS TO DO THIS SUMMER: FOLK DANCE CONTEST

Finally we we're able to present our piece in the folk dance competition that we joined. The contest is part of the Festive of celebrating Birthdays for the month of April and May.

Three days before this night we hired a Dance Instructor (DI) to choreograph and he gave us"Sayaw sa Bangko" .

I was so adamant to join the dance at first, I was less cooperative during the practice but since my protest will do no good for our group, I gave in. But I always choose to be on the covered side, He he!

Anyways, on the last minute of our practice we were able to master our steps, and our last word before we finally up to the center was that, if we'll commit mistake we shall not make it obvious and that we'll just give and always wear our best smiles, to conceal anxiety.  And of course to "enjoy the dance", as this happened once and might never again.

Here's our captured photos during our presentation.

The final figure is a three-layer bench formation and I find it cool.

Well, we haven't bagged the prize because there's more beautiful performance presented, but when we joined the competition we haven't thought of the award anymore but all for experience and for the love of the country.

13/60 THINGS TO DO THIS SUMMER: REFLECTION #1

It's a tough life I am into, a hard and narrow path i am traversing with and the road ahead seems unclear. To where this journey leads, i have no idea yet. But,  in my reflection i have come to realized some things i made unwise, wrong doings, bad choices and decisions, indecisiveness and impulsiveness.

But all is done and gone, I don't want to waste my time regretting with all the mistakes I've made, dwell on the bitter thoughts of the what if's and if only's. I cannot amend my past and i am hesitant to anticipate the future.Whatever life brings me on, I know that God has put me to this situation because He wanted me to be more wiser, consistent and a steadfast person. God is preparing me to be a better person albeit my imperfection and although tomorrow is uncertain, I was taught not to worry, because all the best things that would happen are yet to come.

WILL YOU REMEMBER?

My then classmate in Nursing school, Lanie, posted this pic just now in her Facebook wall with caption: "Maalala mo kaya? (Will you remember?)."

Morning emote!
So, how do you find the pic?

Me, i find it Classic and Daring!. Ha Ha! This pic made me recall our adventures and misadventures during Nursing school days.

Two years in Nursing school was full of challenging and exciting daily experience for us. But this pic speaks of our confidence that we can hurdle the battle. But before i am going to relate all my stories in Nursing school. Let me first share our escapades in relation with this photo.

This happened sometime of May 2008 (Imagine how long it was?). We must have gone thus far with our Nursing career by now. But, that would be a different story. May 2008 was on our third semester in Nursing school, and because we wanted to build a more stronger bond with each other we decided to have an out - of -town escapades and also to give ourselves a break in preparation to our hospital duties after a month then. However, due to personal reasons and obligations only the six of us in our batch went on.

Packed with just our personal belongings we head on to Sta. Ana, Cagayan and from there we just choose where to stay overnight. There were many beaches in Sta. Ana, and back then we have chosen Lordwin Beach Resort as our refuge in our getaway.

To get to Lordwin Beach resort we rode a banca from Sta. Ana to Brgy. Dugo where Lordwin is located, while on transport we so enjoyed the ride and the sights.

Getaway of professional student nurses, 2008
Upon arrival, we took our cottage and while cooling down we played a card game to entertain ourselves.
bet your one peso :)
After we have cooled down we changed to swimming outfit and like a kid we played, posed and freed ourselves from whatever is holding us back in real life.

We are then, the aspiring to be the best and competent nurses in the global arena.

At night we comforted ourselves with a shot but remained sober.

We left the next day but our memories will remain. Back then, i remembered that we planned for another and something a big trip.

Fast Forward. Life during our nursing struggles is something that i treasure much in my heart. I wish to share more stories about the struggle but i leave this thought in your mind, that one will never ever forget things happened in the past which make him a person by now.

GOD PROMISED ME OF LIFE SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL

I was not really feeling better for a month now due to internal and external reason and probably a little bit exhausted. That is why i got series of absences in school to the point that i really wanted to quit now. If only i was not thinking of the expenses i incured in buying my law books, just don't mind the tuition fees i paid because there's many things I've learned in law since day one in law school.

However, despite the  heavy feelings i have, I am convicted to Life must go on and to see the bright side of life. This saying that, no matter what comes along the way, It's Gods plan and it has meaning why it had to happened to us.

People come and go into our lives, we cannot force them to stay. We have to learn to let go and never to questioned why. God design us to live our life and He gave us trials that he knew we can surpass. It's His test of how faithful can we be when everything else fails. It's also His way of saying to us to keep strong and hold on. For God will never fail us. God will never leave our side and God will always love us, unconditionally.

I am strong because God is my stronghold and no matter the inadequacies of life. I am better! Because God promised me of life something beautiful.
