30/60 THINGS TO DO THIS SUMMER: SPEND MORE TIME BONDING WITH MY SON

Few more days and summer will be over. Although i could not fill - up the 60 things i need to do within the 60 days of summer, I am thankful to God because I was able to spend more time with my son.

I intended April and May month as vacation from toxicness from school so I could spend more time with Destiny and built a much stronger mother and child relationship, and Hurrah! Summer is so fulfilling. Me and Destine have a lot of good time together. We are more closer now than ever.

June comes a little bit of a rest from trip,
because Mom will be going to school again, but it doesn't mean our bonding moment shall stop from here. We have more blast to come, so hold on!

I Love you, little darling.

Two feet tiny and big, are we there yet?

29/60 THINGS TO DO THIS SUMMER: VACCINATION OF BABY DESTINE

My son had his last vaccine in about six months now. His suppose schedule was last May 10 but since of my busy days i forgo with the days and I only got free this time. I've been postponing the vaccine since I was thinking he might have fever after receiving it and I don't have a long time to sit and take care of him, because I am always out. Good that I was free this week end, hence I towed him to his Pedia.

I cannot picture our scene when we're there but my boy is not easy to handle when it comes to situation like this. I have my patience in full and bagged thousands of tricks so we can carry on.Nonetheless, he got his vaccine just the same. I'll just have to watch out for some fever as side effects. Thank God, we  had this done.

23/60 THINGS TO DO THIS SUMMER: RANDOM

I worked on this random thing for three consecutive days, in this past days, that's why I was not able to post on time the big event of my son's 2nd birthday on his own  blog.

Then i also had some works in between, in short i got busied previously. I also got depressed with the tragic death of one of our professor in law school, so my serotonin was in it's lowest, I cannot think of anything better recently.

Gladly, i was able to finish the three-days random task, but there's another schedule next week and i hope i would be able to cope up with my countdown. Summer is gonna be over soon, but my counting has not even came to half.

Whoa! Summer!

22/60 THINGS TO DO THIS SUMMER: 2ND BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION

I am still on my hectic day but I intended the 7th of May a day to celebrate my sons Birthday. It happened as a simple kids get together and at the end of the day it was a huge success for me. I was there all the time and I saw how happy my son were.

I was so excited to wake up that day, my Mama and I prepared early in cooking the foods but as soon as Destine woke up, I left Mama the cooking and attended to the birthday boy. We went to church first and then buy a cake. Then we went to my office where the get together was held.

I haven't prepared any games for the kids, it was just an open play for them with sweet servings every now and then and I saw them all enjoying just as it is. Later, the birthday wishes, candle blowing and the Happy Birthday song.

Eat. Eat. Eat.

My son fallen asleep after.

I let him rest for a while then, because there is another party that we shall be holding in the afternoon at our place, wherein we invited kids in our neighbors.

But my birthday boy is kinda tired maybe that he does not cooperate well in picture taking anymore.

But here's what we got in the afternoon celebration. There's almost same food served in our morning celebration minus the ice cream and this time it's a different cake. :)

But in all it was an equal elation for me as the planner of this event and seeing my son awed in people and things. Celebrating 2 years of life is an opportunity of more discoveries.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DARLING DESTINE. I PROMISE WE SHALL SEE THE WORLD AND GET A LIFE TOGETHER.

At TWO (2) Our adventure BEGINS. BUCKLE UP MY DEAR! :)

21/60 THINGS TO DO THIS SUMMER: FOODS FOR BIRTHDAY

Every pay day I am a woman of Grocery store to buy stocks of our basic needs at home, but this is not in my usual list of groceries. I'll be buying goods in celebrating Destiny's 2nd birthday. So I spent a special day for this and almost everyday i checked on what else is missing on my list.

By the way, aside from candies and chocolates, here's the list on what we are going to serve on Destiny's birthday:

-Macaroni Salad
-Spaghetti
-Glutinous rice (kaning malagkit)
-rice vermicelli (bihon)
-cake
-ice cream
-hotdog
-etc.

I just thought that our celebration would be so simple yet sweet. I hope this things make sense and the memories we could collect is something i could tell to Destine when someday he'll ask how his 2nd birthday was done.

20/60 THINGS TO DO THIS SUMMER: BUY MY SON A NEW DRESS

A day to go and it's my son's birthday so i have to run to the malls to buy him dress for his birthday. I don't wanna do this in a rush but seems that all things come in my hectic day so I have to do them all at the same time.

I cannot shop for a long hour since I still have something to do so I have to choose a dress quick. This time, I thought of yellow color which depicts a brighter day on my sons birthday.

Looking back on his first birthday, I bought him 2 wardrobe, for his morning activity is Green which calls for Life.
In the afternoon it was Red for jolliness and joyfulness.

19/60 THINGS TO DO THIS SUMMER: SET UP THE BIRTHDAY VENUE

My son will be celebrating his 2nd birthday on the 7th. I've invited my co-workers kids to come over as I've organized a simple, sweet and something which will surely enjoyed by the kids. My son's birthday theme is a sort of kids get together. I called this "The Sweetest Times of Your Life".

I've made my room as the venue of the event and set it up in between my free time few days before the Birthday.

The Balloons - I asked an office mate to puff the balloons for me.

The Back Drop - I hanged it myself.

The candies and sweets.

There you go, the venue is set up already. Thank Goodness!

17/60 THINGS TO DO THIS SUMMER: MADE BIRTHDAY INVITATION

I've been thinking how to make the invitation for the 2nd birthday of my son because I don't want to buy the pre made birthday invitation in the store. I want something original and unique. I also wanted it to be creatively done and a little artistic on the side. However, it turned out to be a simple one because of the less time i had to do it. Nonetheless, I've already distributed it yesterday hoping those i invited will come and say happy birthday to Destiny. :)

16/60 THINGS TO DO THIS SUMMER: SIMPLY VENTING OUT

I am suppose to update this blog everyday since day 1 of April aiming to complete my 60 to do list on this summer, but seems I am too way to complete the list, unless I'll do a marathon post. But the reason of my being too far behind in updating this blog is that I do a lot of things in day and I have the little kiddo staying up late at night. Geez! I get too tired and I don't even have time for myself. Yap, I do complain of my hectic but sedentary lifestyle. I said hectic because it's full of action everyday but sedentary because i do a lot of sitting and little exercise. I do hope my blood supply still circulates well. In no time, this summer will be over and I'll go back to school again, and guess what I still have a lot in my list that need to be done. Oh God!

15/60 THINGS TO DO THIS SUMMER: PICTURE TAKING WITH THE CHOPPER

We've been passing through this chopper which is parked in the camp for days since the last week. I can see a lot who poses in front or in the side of it and take a good snapped with it. There are also some that i saw how took a selfie shot of their own with the chopper as the background. I told myself then, I wish I could also get a photo of my son Destiny with the chopper behind, and yesterday was a good chance to make that wish done. I also made a post on this on his blog, entitled A CHOPPER AND A PASSERSBY. I hope it made sense. But i find the idea cute. Ha ha!

14/60 THINGS TO DO THIS SUMMER: GET MY SON A NEW HAIRCUT

My son Destiny has long hair already, and the last time that he had a haircut was about six months ago.

I had this very awkward and no joy of bringing him to get a hair cut, because he is too fussy, cannot sit still, anxious and a cry baby every time he had a haircut. In other words giving him a hair cut is a disaster i have to endure for all of the time that he don't understand the importance of having a good and clean hair cut.

But my agony had passed and i have him hairless so that it would take long before he will have a long hair again.

13/60 THINGS TO DO THIS SUMMER: REFLECTION #1

It's a tough life I am into, a hard and narrow path i am traversing with and the road ahead seems unclear. To where this journey leads, i have no idea yet. But,  in my reflection i have come to realized some things i made unwise, wrong doings, bad choices and decisions, indecisiveness and impulsiveness.

But all is done and gone, I don't want to waste my time regretting with all the mistakes I've made, dwell on the bitter thoughts of the what if's and if only's. I cannot amend my past and i am hesitant to anticipate the future.Whatever life brings me on, I know that God has put me to this situation because He wanted me to be more wiser, consistent and a steadfast person. God is preparing me to be a better person albeit my imperfection and although tomorrow is uncertain, I was taught not to worry, because all the best things that would happen are yet to come.

12/60: THINGS TO DO THIS SUMMER: ATTENDED BIRTHDAY TREAT

40, Life Begins! That's my words to Mam Sheng /Chelle, my colleague, my mentor and i have her thanked for being my partner in crime at times. She celebrated her 40th birthday last April 24. It was an unplanned night swimming at Chateau Leonor, the idea just came in later that afternoon when all of us were busy with our work and beating some deadline. The celebrant was kinda anxious preparing. The event was even supposedly cancelled due to unavailability of time but it was still push through later. We've got all cheered in before the night ended that day. Indeed at 40, a life shall begin.

11/60 THINGS TO DO THIS SUMMER: CONTINGENCY PLAN ON MERS - CoV

Being tasked on operational matters in my area, I was handed a note to prepare a contingency plan regarding MERS - CoV or Middle East Respiratory Syndrome - Corona Virus. Doing a contingency plan is something new to me and not in my expert field, hence, i sought the assistance of our Medical Doctor and he said he will prepare one. I was relieved then and when he was done all i did was to edit some fonts and submit. He he! Thank Goodness for the less pressure.

10/60 THINGS TO DO THIS SUMMER: BRIEFING DONE

Our Director and his staff made a visit in our area of responsibility and we are all deeply honored and privilege for their time spent to us. They informed as of valuable updates and information concerning our office and gave some suggestions for improvement. Prior to the visit, i was tasked to prepare a short briefing pertaining to our accomplishment for the period. Hence, i made it, but i was a bit surprised when aside from preparing the briefing i also became the impromptu emcee/moderator at the instant. Bragging aside, i have delivered my piece well and with confident. It's just that i wasn't expecting for the turn of events, but then it's a success. Thank Goodness!

9/60 THINGS TO DO THIS SUMMER: GENERAL CLEANING AT HOME

I don't really have time to do general cleaning at home due to my busy busy schedules at work and at school. Sometimes, i also hire house helper to do some home chores for me. But this time it's different, the house helper don't come anymore and so I have to do the cleaning on my own. It's a little bit tiring but it's a good way to burn my sedentary lifestyle and too it's enjoying because i do it with the  young man  Destiny hanging around and keeping my work double due to his muss and mess.

8/60 THINGS TO DO THIS SUMMER: ATTENDED 78th BIRTHDAY OF GRANDMA

I marked the month of April as one important month this year, because this is the first time that we could be present on the birthday celebration of my Grandma. Likewise, i have an important role to deliver on her birthday, that is, I am in-charge in bringing the "Pansit" (Noodles) to be served on that day. So i can never skipped, hence, we made a road trip to the barrio and attended the birthday.

The sad part is that, I wasn't able to make a good photo snapped on that day, because My young man was so feeling free and i have to watched him all the time because he kept on roaming around and he might get an accident if not being watched. I haven't eaten well that day, because of that.

Nevertheless, the birthday was held jovially. It's not because of the food or anything superficial but because of Granny felt our presence in this very important day of her life.

6/60 THINGS TO DO THIS SUMMER: WATCH FROZEN

I have been amused when my facebook wall has been flooded with statuses of any Mommy in my FB friends posting how their kids loved to kept watching "Frozen" movie again and again. So, I wonder should my little boy watched the said movie will he watched it too over and again? I don't have any idea what the movie is all about back then, and due to a very hectic demands from me i cannot even watched the preview of it. But this time, i really made it to the point that i could watch it and so i did.

I just thought that my child would love to watch the movie too as we sat side by side in the bed while watching but he got his own thing and he is busy swiping his tab although glancing in the tv screen once in a while and giving me a wink too and in exchange i showered him with kisses and hugs. We have a great time bonding.

Well, i got no regrets spending time watching the movie, it's a great story to be told and
here's some of my favorite line in the movie:

Anna: “I don’t even know what true love is,”
Olaf: “I do! That’s when you put someone else’s needs before your own.”

..and the one great word that touches me is this..."only an act of true love will thaw a frozen heart".

5/60 THINGS TO DO THIS SUMMER: LAUNCH A NEW BLOG

Finally, i was able to launch this blog entitled My Notes in Law School
it contained cases assigned to us by our professor to digest. I've been contemplating to create a blog like this since my first year in law school, but my schedule is very tight that i failed to update regularly my other personal blog or even do the make-over I've been perpetually planning to do. Come June I'll be a full time second year and my 4th sem in law school and I expect more cases to be assigned to us to digest and i hope i could put the same to this blog. My Notes in Law School is very important for me to remember by heart the doctrines and principles applied to this cases, aside from that, it could also be a reference to other law student who may finds my site sensible.
